Optical cables

Choosing the type of fibre optics cables it is necessary to consider:

    • Environmental specifics: outdoor, indoor, universal
    • Climate conditions: temperature, UV radiation, moisture, water
    • Mechanical influences: cutting, squeezing and scratching risk, tensile stress, bending
    • Chemical influences: chemical resistance, overburn resistance /e.g. welding sparks/
    • Biological influences: mould and rodent resistance
    • Way of mounting: ground burial, cable channels, free stowing on tubular bridges,  on facade of buildings, in ducts, on hanging brackets (between buildings)
    • Way of installation: laying, pulling, blowing
    • Fire safety specs: fire retardand, low smoke, halogen-free and corrosion-resisting construction

The standard offer comprise of multimode and singlemode cables with tight buffer fibres, halogen-free and fire retardant sheet.
Data transfer characteristics fulfill all requirements of standards ISO/IEC 11 801 2.edition and EN 50-173-1.

Universal distribution cables

FO cables have halogen-free and corrosion-resisting construction with non-metalic rodent protection. They are suitable for outdoor as well as for indoor environment.  Operating temperature range is from -20 up to +60°C. They have excellent mechanical qualities (min.bend radius 50 - 75 mm, max .installation tension 1500 N, permanent load min. 650 N).
They are ideal for installation in pipes shafts, elevator shafts, on facades of buildings and for hanging air tracks between buildings.

Armoured optical cables

Steel armoured cables are the only 100% protection against rodents. They have excellent crash, impact, corrosive liquids, moisture, water and overburn resistance. They are suitable for direct ground burial application, cable channels, on tubular bridges with no other protection necessary. Operating temperature range is from -20 up to +70°C.
